Overall, this course has taught me numerous things. From writing different genres, to learning more about my major, to opening as a writer, I have learned a lot. During the discussions, the essays, the projects, the writing in this course has made me become a stronger writer. When the photo essays were presented to us as a project, I was nervous. I thought “how am I going to represent my major with pictures”? I thought about it and came up with a few ideas. This project also taught me that. Writing through photos is a beautiful process, because when you’re able to put your own examples and thoughts into photos and describe them is very interesting. When reading others photo essays and evaluating, they showed a lot about that individual. Seeing other people’s work was unique and showed a lot about my classmates. Some of the frequent genres I used were simple essays. I liked writing large papers on a block essentially what an essay is because I feel like I go more in depth with the writing just being able to freely write what’s on my mind. With learning each task throughout this course, I feel like could help me and my major because I wrote a lot about Real Estate and found out more and more each time, I wrote about it. This already helped me and can lead to more help in the future because the more I write about Real Estate, the more interest grows and the more research I end up having to do. This could help me also because the more I find out, the more I will know and can use that knowledge when I land a Real Estate job. Writing doesn’t factor much within Real Estate, but it can help opening more when talking to my clients and eventually help me become more of a talkative, wiser person. I really enjoyed taking this class and all the work I did in it. This class opens you up as a writer and should have more credit to it. I look back at my old writings and see a drastic difference between the two.
